Welcome to the foundation repair products page. Listed below is a sampling of our residential and new construction products.
Under footing bracket with RESISTANCE Pier
This bracket and pier combination is used for existing foundations to provide lift and/or stabilization. The bracket is placed under the existing footing and the pier is slowly advanced to a sufficient load bearing strata (typically bedrock). Once the pier is driven, you can then push against the pier to provide support for the foundation. These types of piers offer the most support and are by far the most reliable of piering systems.
Atlas installs RESISTANCE piers with capacities from 60,000 to 120,000 lbs.
For lighter structures such as single story homes, stoops, garage columns, etc, a HELICAL pier is the optimal product.
HELICAL Piers
Helical piers are typically used in situations where the loads are not sufficient for RESISTANCE piers. The HELICAL piers are screwed into the ground using a hydraulic torque motor. The flights on the shaft pull the pier into the ground and then serve as bearing support. Usually these piers will torque into very dense soil or partially weathered rock.
Atlas installs HELICAL piers with capacities from 30,000 to 60,000 lbs in residental applications and up to 200,000 lbs in commercial applications.
HELICAL TIEBACKS
Tiebacks are used primarily to resist lateral forces on basement walls, landscape walls and footings. For basement walls, the tiebacks are installed from inside the basement and the helical piers are screwed into the soil on the other side of the wall. A plate or steel channel is used to increase the surface area that the pier is supporting.
Atlas installs TIEBACKS with capacities from 45,000 to 200,000 lbs.
New Construction HELICAL Piers
Atlas Piers installs new construction helical piers for homebuilders and remodelers. These piers can be installed in portions of new footings or throughout the entire foundation footprint. Homebuilders choose this option to extend foundation warranties, ensure structural integrity and whenever marginal soils prevent using other foundation methods. Many times during an addition, there are obstacles that prevent typical foundations, or there are concerns about existing soils.
Atlas installs new construction HELICAL piers with a wide range of capacities. Call for your specific requirements.
Helical Slab Piers
Helical slab piers provide support for failing slabs in areas such as garages, basements and patios. These piers are used by coring a hole in the concrete and then installing the helical pier with a channel bracket.
Atlas installs HELICAL slab piers with capacities up to 20,000 lbs.
